Experience:
Dr. Kapila has vast experience in mechanization:
- 14 years experience in Europe where he worked and served as a task team member focusing on agricultural mechanization and environmentally-friendly utilization of heavy duty vehicles – EU-COST projects.
- 20 years experience in Africa dealing with mechanization development issues – South Africa, Namibia and Zambia.
Research Interests:
- Effective utilization of sustainable agricultural technologies,
- Application of Oil Analysis in tractors and self-propelled agricultural machines and heavy duty road vehicles and;
- Developing Alternative sources of energy for rural areas.
- Developing appropriate on farm processing technologies for rural areas
