General Admission Requirements

• Admission to the programme is in accordance with the rules as stipulated in the
• University Calendar.
• A prospective student shall be admitted to the study for this degree, only if he/she:
• Complies with the matriculation requirements for studies as set out in the Calendar of the University of Venda under the heading admission to the University;
• Admission requirements for 2009:  Candidates should be in possession of National Senior Certificate.

Course Credits

No student shall collect more than 170 credits per year.
If a student fails one of the modules, he/she shall retain credit for the modules passed, but must complete failed modules in order to get the credits.

No student will be allowed to switch between this School and another without
consulting the relevant Deans and Heads of Departments and without complying
with the relevant School's entrance requirements.

• Complies with the matriculation requirements for studies as set out in the Calendar of the University of Venda under the heading admission to the University;
• The student must attend the B.Cur orientation course presented by the Department of Nursing Science of the University of Venda.
• In addition, candidates for the B.Cur degree should have at least an E(HG) or a D(SG) in Biology, and E(HG) or a D(SG) in English.
• Candidates will be subject to selection

B.Cur Nursing Science  programme

A student must pass the relevant practical examinations in each year of study.  Clinical practical hours shall be as follows:
