University Of Venda–Freiburg University Youth Studies Exchange Progamme
The institute for Gender and Youth Studies hosted two visiting professors from Freiburg University in Germany from the 22nd February to the 5th of March, 2010 under the above mentioned programme. The two professors were B. Seibel, and T. Hoff. During the visit they gave a series of lectures on various modules and a seminar. Part of the time was also spent on reviewing, planning and revising the MOU which binds the University of Venda / Freiburg student and faculty exchange programme.

Launch Of Community Crime Forum Committee
Mrs. T.J Mudau was invited to attend the launch of the above mentioned committee on the 5th of March, 2010 during which she was nominated as the deputy chair-person of the committee.

International Women’s Day
Prof. A.K Siachitema was guest speaker at the above function organized by the Department of Local Government and Housing in Polokwane on the 23rd of March, where she gave a presentation on the theme of the International Women’s Day,’ Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity for all’.

Gender based violence at the Thulamela Municipality
Mrs Mudau presented a paper on Gender based violence at the Thulamela municipality .She also presented a paper on the causes and effects of rape at a workshop organized by the Mukula Community in the Vhembe district, and is also  the committee member of the Community Safety Forum in  the district.

Victim Empowerment Projects
Rev. Mudau Desmond is currently involved in a number of community development and Victim Empowerment projects focusing on women and youth empowerment.

Community on Gender Awareness in the Vhembe District
Miss.Chilidzi Mulaudzi is a member of the Community on Gender awareness in the Vhembe district municipality. She was nominated in the task team of the department of Justice to deal with issues of gender, and celebrations of women’s achievements in the country.
