The institute is busy conducting a research study to assess attitudes,values,opinions and practices that perpetuate gender-based violence in Limpopo and develop a campaign and communication strategy to contribute to the ending of gender –based violence.The leader of the Research is Prof. Alice Siachitema.
Prof. Siachitema
Ph.D. (University of Edinburgh), M. Phil. (University of London), M.A. (University of Leeds), B.A. with Education, (University of Zambia). Extensive experience in Research, Gender Training/ Facilitation, Gender Analysis, Gender Resource Material Writing, Gender Capacity Building Skills, Proposal Writing, etc. Fields of competency: Gender and Development, Education, Language and Health.
Mrs Thizwilondi Mudau
Mrs Mudau has been involved as a research assistant in a number of researches and many community outreach activities on gender as well as youth. She is also a staff and HIV and AIDS counselor. Mrs. Mudau is currently doing her PhD and her research topic is “An application of the policy on learner pregnancy and learner academic performance” in the School of Education, University of venda.
Miss Keamogetse Morwe
Miss Morwe published a paper titled “Bullying in Thohoyandou Primary Schools. and is currenty conducting a research project on sexual harassment at the University of Venda.
