About Us

The Department of Criminal and Procedural Law has a staff complement of seven. Staff members in the department have diverse legal expertise covering criminal law, criminal procedure, civil procedure, law of evidence, administration of estates and medical jurisprudence. The modules offered in the department mimic the above areas of expertise in addition to practical legal skills covering the drafting of contracts, the drafting of wills, office management and administration, the drafting of pleadings and trial advocacy skills. These practical legal skills are offered under the module called Legal Practice.

The Department works closely with the Legal Aid Clinic to ensure a practical application of the theory learned in class to the practical world offered by the Law Clinic. The department is the main driver of community outreach activities of the School and has won several community service awards.
