Schedule for Selection, Admission and Registration of Students in 2013
NB:
1. National Student Financial Aid Scheme and Merit
Bursary applications for first entering students are
available at Financial Aid Office, Old Administration Building.
2. Online registration will take place at ICT2, BIS labs, SRC lab
and auditorium.
3. Assisted registration will take place in the Student
Administration building and E Lecture halls.
4. The university will not accommodate walk in applicants.
Students anticipating to come and enquire whether they
can apply or not should make their own accommodation
arrangements outside the campus.

Minimum Deposit
All students without a loan/bursary will be required to pay a minimum deposit
of R 4560.00 and R1860 for accommodation. The total minimum initial payment inclusive
of accommodation is R6420. The amount for residence should be paid by students whose
applications for residence have been successful. The payment can be made at any
ABSA branch at least three working days before registration.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON SAFETY AND SECURITY
1. Do not buy rooms from students; rooms are only obtainable from Student Affairs
2. Do not leave valuable items unattended. e.g. money, cellphone or laptop
3. Do not accommodate strangers in your rooms
4. Ask for assistance from the students who are appointed as student ushers
and
Security Officers
5. No student is allowed to register on behalf of other students
6. Do not drink alcohol during registration as this might make you vulnerable
to
thugs
7. Report any form of crime such as theft, rape, and assaults to the Security
Department
8. All payments must be made to the Finance Department or ABSA Bank
9. Assistance by the students governing body is free of charge
