Vacancies at the University of Venda

The University of Venda is a vibrant comprehensive university located in the scenic region of Vhembe District in the vast Limpopo Province of South Africa, within a short driving distance from the world famous Kruger National Park. The campus is currently reviewing its academic programmes to ensure that it appropriately positions itself as a quality-driven rural-based university that is responsiveto developmental needs of the Southern African region. GENERIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ACADEMIC POSITIONS

PROFESSOR:
At least 10 years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field. At least 15 articles published in accredited journals. Chapters in a book and book publication. Evidence of supervision of 4 Masters/Doctoral students.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:
At least 10 years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field. At least 10 articles published in accredited journals. Chapters in a book and book publication. Evidence of supervision of 4 Masters/Doctoral students.

SENIOR LECTURER:
At least 5 years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field. At least 5 publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals.

LECTURER:
At least 3 years at a tertiary institution or 5 years professional experience in the relevant field or experience in student supervision in an academic health institution. Publications in peer reviewed or non peer reviewed journals will be a strong recommendation.
