Department of Jurisprudence

Mr.  Liphosa is a senior lecturer. He holds the following degrees: BA, LL.B (Wits): LL.M (UP); and Dip. Corp. Law (RAU). He is a duly admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa as well as the founder of the firm, Pandelani Liphosa Attorneys.  He possesses a very rich background in legal practice and participated in the famous international asbestos –related disease case litigated in Britain on behalf South African and Swaziland claimants. He speaks nine languages including Tshivenda, Tsonga, Tswana, Zulu, Xhosa, English and Afrikaans.

His teaching interests include Jurisprudence, Civil Procedure, Private International Law, Medical Jurisprudence and Environmental Law.

He is pro tempore the Acting Head of the Legal Aid Clinic, School of Law, UNIVEN.
