Vision

The University of Venda is situated in an area with unique biogeographical, social and biological conditions. The department of Botany strives to contribute to the social upliftment of the local community and biological conservation of the area through its expertise in appropriate fields of Ethno-biology, conservation Biology, Limnology and Biotechnology. The experience in teaching students and working with people from disadvantaged rural communities is a special advantage.
