Edu-Loan recognizes Best student
Ms Nicolle Mukanganyama receives her new laptop from Mr Lethabo Makgabo, General Manager Networking Services at EduLoan
A fourth year student was over the moon after receiving a laptop from EduLoan. Mr Lethabo Makgabo, the General Manager Business Networking, of Edu-Loan presented the laptop to Ms Nicolle Tinashe Mukanganyama, a student in Bachelor of Youth in Development Studies at the School of Human and Social Sciences recently. Nicolle is under the Zimbabwean Presidential Scholarship. She joined the University in 2007 and she is now in her final year of study. Mukanganyama received the laptop after she was identified as the overall best performing student. To identify the overall best student, a best performing student from each school was identified, but the number of distinction passes and average percentage obtained was taken into consideration. Based on this Mukanganyama was found to be the best student with 11 distinctions and an average of 86.3%. Prof Peter Mbati, the Vice Chancellor and Principal, expressed his gratitude to EduLoan for their commitment in supporting students in the development of their future. “As an institution Mukanganyama makes us proud and we are trying to make our students responsible citizens,” he said. “We want to encourage the culture of excellence to our academic staff and students. This laptop is a wonderful gift to us and it is our wish to have one laptop for a high performing student in each and every school,” said Prof Mbati.
