New international relations coordinator for Univen

Mr Cornelius Hagenmeier has been appointed as the international relations coordinator for Univen. “The new International Relations Office will provide a first port of call, both for Univen staff and students engaging in international missions as well as for foreign visitors to the University,” says Hagenmeier. “Internationalisation has become a high priority in contemporary South African higher education. Univen has responded by including this critical objective in its strategic plan. One of the core means to achieve this strategic objective is the establishment of the office. “One of my first tasks is to contribute to the development of Univen’s institutional international relations strategy and to establish an appropriate operational framework for the new office. The office will collaborate with all the University’s stakeholders to grow, nurture and develop international linkages and partnerships."
