DESCRIPTION:DIRECTORATE OF RESEARCH AND INNOVATION OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER\nBackground\nResearchers of the University of Venda (UNIVEN) produce a tremendous amount of Intellectual Property (IP) during their research and scholarship. This IP makes a valuable contribution to the body of knowledge over a wide range of disciplines, and some of this IP will have commercial value. IP can have significant potential for commercial use, which can be of financial benefit to both UNIVEN, and the researchers concerned.\nPurpose\nThe Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) in the Directorate of Research and Innovation will hold an Intellectual Property Awareness Workshop on 6 October 2022 at the Research Conference Centre at 8h00. The purpose of the workshop is to equip researchers with Intellectual Property fundamentals, which will be presented by external stakeholders/speakers.\n
