In May we announced that MyUniven, our University Learning Management System, was to be upgraded from Blackboard to Moodle by the 25th of July.

After careful consideration by the E-Learning Team, we have decided to delay this move and extend our migration period to ensure a smoother transition between the two platforms.

What this means

The full Moodle installation will now be ready to use from 01 October 2020.  Blackboard will be phased out from 01 October 2020 to December 2020 using a staggered approach.

It is important to note that for teaching staff once they are trained in Moodle, are advised not to continue teaching courses with Blackboard Learn after 01 October 2020, but to start teaching with Digikamva Moodle LMS.

Course migration, training and all other activities will continue as planned with a few minor changes.

Please continue to watch out for communication from the UNIVEN E-Learning team who will be keeping you informed as to training, course migration and other matters regarding the move to Moodle.
