No. UNIVEN's online application process is free of charge. Applicants should not be asked to pay an application fee at any stage of the official online application process.

Undergraduate, postgraduate, South African and international applicants are expected to use the University's online application process unless an official University notice states otherwise.

Prepare your South African identity number or passport number, an active cellphone number and an email address. You should also have the supporting academic and identification documents required for your application.

Yes. The online application process allows applicants to save progress and return later. Make sure you keep your login information and the 5-digit PIN created during the application process.

Upload the documents that apply to your applicant category. These can include:

• a copy of your South African ID or passport;
• Grade 11 final results, Grade 12 results or a Matric/NSC certificate;
• an academic transcript and certificate of conduct if you have studied at another tertiary institution;
• degree or diploma certificates for postgraduate applications; and
• a SAQA evaluation certificate and other required international-student documents where applicable.

Supporting documents should be clearly scanned and uploaded in PDF format. Make sure every document is readable before submitting it.

Use the University's student access portal with your student number and PIN. From Student Enquiry, use the document/certificate upload option to select the relevant document type and upload the PDF.

After a successful submission you will receive a student number. Keep it safe because it is used for future application enquiries, document uploads and status checks.

If you already have a UNIVEN student number, use the returning-applicant or student access process linked by the University. Do not create duplicate applicant records unless instructed to do so.

Use the University's application and admission status service. Your application details and the qualifications you applied for will display with the relevant status. Where an offer/request action is available, read the instructions carefully before making a selection.

The current admission-status process allows an applicant to make a qualification selection when requesting an offer. Choose carefully because the system may permit only one admission choice at that stage.

No. Meeting the minimum academic requirement makes you eligible for consideration, but admission is also affected by programme requirements, available places and selection processes approved by the University.

International applicants should use a valid passport and provide the academic documents required for the qualification. Where applicable, prepare a SAQA evaluation certificate and the immigration, study-permit, medical-insurance or related documents requested by the University.
