The University of Venda (UNIVEN)’s Financial Aid Office has appointed two former SRC Presidents Messrs Gift Chauke and Smile Manganyi as part of the SASSETA-funded – graduate interns programme to complement the capacity to support USAF Project Management Office (PMO) work with universities.

The University of Venda took part in the Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA) programme given to Universities South Africa (USAf) for an opportunity to host graduate internships for a period of 12 months with effect from 24 August 2022. These are students who have completed their first degrees.

Messrs. Chauke and Manganyi will provide support with any SETA work that is currently underway, especially the USAF partnership projects although they are going to be exposed to other work responsibilities for experience purposes. Ms Glenda

Ramathavha, UNIVEN Finance Manager says SASSETA will be funding the interns and UNIVEN saw this as an opportunity to cement the relations built with the student leadership.

The two are stationed at Old Admin building, Office10 and will be assisting with various student queries. “We can only hope that this opportunity will aid us in our endeavor to improve communication with our student population”, stressed Ramathavha.

Ms Ramathavha congratulated the two former SRC Presidents and encouraged them to become game changers in this project.
