Rev. Dr. Ndidzulafhi Mudau

Rev. Dr. Ndidzulafhi Mudau is a theologian and ordained minister in the Reformed tradition.
He currently serves as a Lecturer at the University of Venda. His academic specialisation
is in Practical Theology and African Christian Thought, with a research focus
on liturgical decolonisation, African identity, and the transformation of worship
practices within South Africa’s Black Reformed Churches
.

Dr. Mudau’s scholarship critically engages the intersections of faith, culture, and
post-apartheid realities in South Africa. His research interests include contextual theology,
decolonial hermeneutics, Reformed liturgy, African ecclesiology, and the reclamation of
indigenous Christian expressions within historically Western-dominated theological traditions.
Through his work, he contributes meaningfully to debates on worship reform, Africanisation
of theology, and the future of Reformed Christianity in Africa.

As a postgraduate supervisor, Dr. Mudau has supervised five BA Honours students to completion,
two Master’s students (one submitted and one in progress), and one doctoral candidate
(submitted), with three additional PhD candidates currently in progress.

He has published and presented widely at national and international platforms. Dr. Mudau has
authored over 20 peer‑reviewed articles in DHET‑accredited journals, accessible through
ResearchGate, Google Scholar, Academia.edu, and ORCID.
