Invitation to attend the Ninth Session of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Conversation on Intellectual Property and Frontier Technologies
Dr Joel Baloyi, the University Registrar, will be featured as a speaker at the Ninth Session of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Conversation on Intellectual Property and Frontier Technologies, titled “Training the Machines – Bytes, Rights and the Copyright Conundrum”, which is scheduled to take place on 13 March 2024 at 15:00 – 16:30. This is an online event with a global reach attracting over 5000 attendees from across 162 countries, comprised of representatives of WIPO members states, including those from academia, IP professionals and enterprises. WIPO is a UN agency responsible for international intellectual property policy and treaties. This attests to Dr Baloyi’s recognition as an expert in his field.
