ETDP-SETA accredited workshop equips Univen Staff with Skills Development Facilitation (SDF) training 

The University of Venda (Univen)’s Organisational Development (OD) and Training Unit recently coordinated a workshop on Skills Development Facilitation, a training intervention for Univen staff development committee members. The training, that was facilitated by Mrs Enih Annim, the Education, Training, and Development Practitioner (ETDP) at Siyanqoba took place at 2Ten Hotel from Monday, 19 until Friday, 23 November 2018. This SDF training is part of the full qualification OD-ETDP and is intended to equip the Staff Development committee with the necessary skills and competence required to function as skills development practitioners.

The Training was provided by the Department of Higher Education and Training in professional association with Merseta, Services SETA, Agriseta, ETDP.SETA, MictSeta, Acto, PSETA, FASSET and SABPP. 

This training consists of six (6) unit standards that were aimed at promoting a learning culture in an organization; Conducting skills development administration in an organization; Coordinating planned skills development interventions in an organization; Developing an organizational training and development; Conducting an analysis to determine outcomes of learning for skills development and to provide information and advice regarding skills development and related issues.
