The University of Venda (UNIVEN) takes cognisance of the struggle for women emancipation, more so when it comes to access to health. It is for this reason that the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Venda will be celebrating women’s month by providing vaccination to women from ages of 35 years and above.
The purpose of this event is to increase access to women to get vaccinated and reach herd immunity as women are primary caregivers of families and loved ones.
UNIVEN Acting Head of the Department of Advanced Nursing, Prof Dorah Ramathuba said “Protecting women and ensuring their well-being is important during this month as we celebrate their worth.”
