On Friday, 27 July 2018, the University of Venda (Univen) International Relations Office and the School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences welcomed five students from Botho University in Botswana. These students are on exchange programme and will be at Univen until Friday, 30 November 2018.

The Department of Computer Sciences is ready to strengthen this long-lasting collaboration through this exchange programme-Mr Ndabezinhle Soganile

During his opening and welcoming message, Mr Ndabezinhle Soganile mentioned that the collaboration with Botho University started in 2014 and it has always been growing every year. He further said that this collaboration aims to empower students and staff from both partnering universities.

Mapaseka Mokgaphane Minister of Communications, External Affairs and International Relations

Univen Student Representative Council (SRC) Minister of Communications, External Affairs and International Relations, Ms Mapaseka Mokgaphane welcomed exchange students from Botho University. She told them that they should feel at home and should not isolate themselves from Univen students. Mokgaphane encouraged them to work together and learn from each other.

Kabelo Sikele, a Student Representative from Botho University thanked the Univen organisers for the warm welcome and assured that all students will be on their best behaviour. He encouraged fellow students to be committed and participate with dedication in all progammes.
