The University community is hereby informed that the University of Venda (UNIVEN) is not imposing vaccination on its staff members, students, and other stakeholders. While the University is still putting in place procedures for mandatory vaccination effective implementation, staff members, students and visitors should adhere to the following:

– COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate should be produced at the University gates,
– Those with medical conditions should produce their Medical Certificates and go through the screening process,
– Those without COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate/proof of vaccination or Medical Certificate will be subjected to go through normal screening process.

It is worth stating that no one will be denied access to the University campus. However, staff and students as well as other stakeholders are encouraged to adhere to COVID-19 protocols in order to gain access to the campus.

Staff and students are further advised to always practice safety measures to minimise the spread of COVID-19 and to protect themselves and others from being infected.
