ALL UNIVERSITY OF VENDA REGISTERED STUDENTS

As you would recall, on 15 June 2022 the University of Venda Registrar issued communication to all students reminding them to adhere to the examination rules. The University Registrar also used the same communication to warn that students who would breach examination rules will be charged and subjected to disciplinary hearing wherein if found guilty, they will face sanctions which may include suspension from the University.

This communication serves to notify all University of Venda students that from the date of the commencement of May/June 2022 examination to date, already some students were charged for examination irregularities and are undergoing the University disciplinary process in which if found guilty, they may amongst other sanctions, face a sanction of not less than 24 months suspension from the University. These are students who were caught cheating using unauthorised notes during examination and some being in possession of unauthorised devices such as cell phones and smart watches.

The above step is a clear indication that the University will continue to implement zero tolerance against students who will ignore efforts by the University Management on its fight against examination irregularities. Students are once again urged to respect and adhere to the examination rules as there will be serious and negative consequences for the offenders.

A copy of examination rules was shared through an email to all students and same was also uploaded on “My access” portal of each student.
