Dr. Matimba Allan Mabasa is a Senior Lecturer of Social Work, in the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education (FHSSE). He holds D Phil, MSW, BSW from the University of Limpopo and a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. He published eleven journal articles with accredited journals. His teaching focus areas are on introduction to social work approaches of Social Work, Policy and Legislation, Advanced Group Work, and Integrated Method of Intervention in Social Work. His research interests are on substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, environmental social work, migration, gerontology, folklore, Ubuntu, learner’s school violence, social justice, and service delivery.  His recent works include:
