Our Research

Our vision is to build a community where vulnerable families can access healthy, nutritious food to thrive.

We achieve this by conducting interdisciplinary research to identify and test affordable, culturally appropriate solutions to food insecurity across Africa.

Our holistic approach is grounded in three key priorities:

Community-Centered Research

We engage directly with communities to understand barriers to good nutrition and co-create sustainable, empowering solutions. By blending academic research with indigenous knowledge, we support locally driven efforts that value traditional food systems and encourage lasting change.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

We unite expertise in nutrition science, public health, dietetics, and community engagement to ensure our interventions address the nutritional, health, financial, and cultural dimensions of family well-being. Our collaborative model connects researchers, practitioners, and local stakeholders.

Capacity Strengthening

Through mentorship, training, and field-based opportunities, we equip students and early-career scholars, especially those from underserved backgrounds, to become leaders in applied research and sustainable development.
