The University is delighted to announce that Mr Koketjo Lekoane, the Manager for Evaluations in the Strategy and Risk Department, has been awarded a prestigious scholarship to participate in the renowned Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies (DIES) University Leadership and Management Training Course (UNILEAD) at the University of Oldenburg in Germany, scheduled for March and September 2026
This highly sought-after programme is renowned for its rigorous leadership curriculum and its commitment to developing emerging leaders in the higher education sector worldwide. Central to the programme is how support departments can support the Internationalisation project within their institutions. Mr Lekoane’s selection was on a competitive basis overseen by a committee of experts in higher education management from a pool of more than 300 applications. This scholarship is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and passion for continuous improvement.
With his extensive experience and unwavering commitment to excellence. His participation in UNILEAD will not only enhance his leadership skills but also provide him with valuable insights and innovative strategies that can be implemented to support internationalisation within the institution. The University is excited to see how this experience will further enrich his contributions and inspire those around him.
