Mr Ndivhuho Luvhengo, a University of Venda (UNIVEN) Bachelor of Music honours degree graduate has been nominated for the Best African Jazz Song in the South African Traditional Music Awards 2019 (2019 SATMA14 Awards). The 2019 SATMA Awards will be held on Saturday, 28 September 2019 in North West.

Mr Luvhengo is requesting for support from the University community to vote for him. 

Staff members and students can support him by sending a text massage: SATMA43 to 49495. SMS costs R1,50 and they can sms as many times as they can. The voting line closes on the midnight of Friday, 27 September 2019. 

Mr Luvhengo graduated his BMus honours degree in the year 2010 at the UNIVEN. 

“This came after I have scooped the Best Jazz Song award during the Mzansi Jazz Awards 2019 that were recently held at World of Yamaha in Sandton, Johannesburg on the 10th of August 2019.” 

He is also serving in the Vhembe District Community through his voluntary work, assisting to develop, promote and identify art in primary and secondary schools. “I serve the communities by teaching and training music,” he said.
