Centre for Higher Education Teaching and Learning

The University of Venda’s Centre for Higher Education Teaching and Learning (CHETL) was established in 2010. It (CHETL) came into being as a result of the University Council mandate: to initiate, coordinate and promote programmes and services intended to address the challenges facing academics and students in achieving expected outcomes of teaching and learning in higher education. The primary mandate for CHETL is to support the teaching and learning venture of the university.

The Centre is headed by Prof. LMP Mulaudzi.

The Centre comprises four discrete but interconnected units.

  • The Academic Development Unit (ADU),
  • the Student Counselling and Career Development Unit (SCCDU),
  • the Disability Unit/Disabled Student Unit (DSU)
  • E-Learning Unit.
